Growing up I was never one of those skinny kids who complained that they couldn&#8217;t gain weight no matter how much they ate. In fact, I was always jealous of those guys.</p>
<p>I didn&#8217;t go out in public with my shirt off, actually I wouldn&#8217;t even go swimming because I really didn&#8217;t like the way my body looked. I was &#8220;going to the gym&#8221; a few times a week, but we all know how that is. Going through the emotions really did nothing. I then found out about a new type of weight training technique called kettlebells. The reason they are so attractive is that they get your heart moving and lungs pumping without running or that silly bike.</p>
<p>The training program I found solved that problem with fast fluid movements with considerable amounts of weight gave my heart all the exercise it needed. A kettlebell is a cast iron weight with a big handle on it if you didn&#8217;t know.</p>
<p>Kettlebell workouts were transforming me. The fat was literally melting off my body! For two months I &#8220;played&#8221; with my kettlebell three times a week for no more than 45 minutes, often less.</p>
<p>The workouts were brutal. It was common for me to finish by lying on the floor in a heap wondering if I was going to be sick. But it was worth it. The results were amazing.</p>
<p>The results speak for them selves I lost 22 pounds of fat in a little over 2 months. People accused me of using steroids because of the rapid change. I tell them proudly to go check out kettlebells and the kettlebell revolution.</p>

<p>This can be a tough time for those of us struggling with out weight. There are so many opportunities to gorge yourself with sweet sugary food, that it can be devastating to the best laid diet plans. Here I&#8217;ll give you a couple of strategies to avoid the guilt that comes with overeating.</p>
<p>Willpower. This is where you avoid eating anything extra at all costs. You don&#8217;t eat any cookies at work, and you only drink diet soda at the office Christmas party. The plus side is that you won&#8217;t gain any weight during the holidays. The negative side is that you won&#8217;t have much fun.</p>
<p>Next is pre planning and avoidance strategies. This means to fill your stomach up with water and low calorie fillers. That way those cookies, that cake, those jugs of eggnog won&#8217;t seem so tempting. Of course, this requires planning, and a strong defense mentality. While less difficult than pure willpower, this isn&#8217;t much fun either.</p>
<p>The most popular strategy is to just suspend all hope completely of not gaining any weight, and eat to your hearts content. That way you can fully enjoy yourself, and any holiday cheer you may find. The obvious downside to this is that sooner or later, you&#8217;re going to have to pay the piper.</p>
<p>Depending on your outlook, your personality, and how you live life, you now have a couple options to choose from. Most people like to mix and match, and find a combination that works best for them.</p>
